Hormone Testing Timeline

The early to mid-follicular phase proves to be the most critical period to evaluate fertility and cycle progression. During days 2 - 3 of the 28-Day cycle, a baseline assessment of LH, FSH, and Estradiol is performed to check ovarian reserve and resting hormone levels. During days 7 - 10, the main focus is on monitoring follicular development via ultrasound and tracking rising levels of estrogen.

During days 12 - 14, the LH surge test is done, which occurs 24 - 36 hours before the egg is released. As the top IVF clinic in Siliguri, Newlife Fertility Centre offers comprehensive female hormone testing.

Post-Ovulatory and Independent Markers

Once the ovulation is done, the focus shifts to confirming the success of the cycle and checking the endocrine health. During day 21 (mid-Luteal phase), progesterone levels are checked to confirm ovulation. After that, the late cycle window (day 25 - 28) proves to be an ideal time to conduct non-cycle dependent hormonal tests, such as Prolactin, TSH, and AMH.

Although these tests can be done at any point in the month, evaluating them alongside cycle-specific data helps in gaining a comprehensive view of reproductive health.
